Shane was supposedly Floyd's toughest test

Shane is Manny's biggest joke fight and he will be the biggest favorite he has ever been in years and years.

    That says it all.

There's no reason why he can't get respect from any boxing fan if he fights Pac and beat him.

I would not respect Mayweather much if he beat Pacman now. He is waiting a long time to fight him. It is obvious he is waiting for Pacman to get old and washed up. So I would not respect it. He would have fought a better Pacman 2 years ago.. I don't respect fighters like that no matter who they are. Boxing is not about Mayweather and how to get him a win by fighting guys at the right time, it is about the whole sport.

I am a little bit of a ******* myself but I have a lot of respect for Mayweather too, I think that both are very special fighters and the best of our era.
If they were to meet I think that Pac would win, but thats just my opinion, and I've been wrong before.
Now if Mayweather beats Pac convincingly (not some controversial bs) of course I would acknowledge the fact that he is the #1, how could you not do that?
Whoever beats the other will be considered the best of this era, if they dont fight Pac will get the nod bc of Floyds inactivity and unwillingness to fight certain people.

I dont know about that. You can take out Mayweather's name and substitute in Pac's name, then do the same exact thing with Pac's name for Mosley and what do you get.

Also are you stating that may is getting younger while Pac gets older?

Last time I checked on this board the general concensus was that May is inactive and that his legs are "shot".

I wont go into who is the older of the two either

Twice in this thread it has been mentioned that Floyd is waiting for Pac to get old and washed up. Truth is, Floyd is about 2 years older than Pac, so that argument doesn't hold water.

Now to answer the question about respect. I don't respect him now and would only give him credit for a win, IF he even gloves up for Pacquaio, but not respect. I don't like the guy as the person he portrays himself to be. He's much too self centered and if you could bottle that ego and sell it, he'd likely never run out of money.

Bottomline, I already have respect for Floyd's skills... Pac win or not is insignificant.

    Yes, of course.

May & Pac look so far ahead of the rest right now that it seems nobody can beat them, thats why we need the fight asap.

If either one of these guys beat each other they deserve all the credit in the world, they really do.... it will tell us a lot about just how they rank in all time terms.
