    You want to spend your time debating something so meaningless, be my guest. The titles have been split, unified, devalued, vacated, champions have retired, won diamond belts, became emeritus champions, etc etc etc. Linearity means absolutely nothing now. A dud of a fighter can become the lineal champ in the same division as a unified champ - neither of whom may be the generally accepted number 1 fighter in the division. Pointless.
