Would you say Tyson Fury is one of Wlad's top ten opponents?

In terms of the danger posed to Wlad look at the bookies odds, hes given the best chance of besting Wlad since Haye. He will best Wlad.

Povetkin was 5/1 Tyson is currently 3/1 and I reckon once the hype starts building with sky, the press conferences including today (apparently Tyson has something special planned!) the final press conference and the behind the ropes special in the final week.

Dont forget theres a further long 6 weeks to go yet!

Fury is the best Vlad will have fought. You'll see that when Vlad gets knocked out on Oct 24th.

Ranking Wald’s best title match wins based on whom they have beaten in their career and how good I think they were/are when they fought Wlad.

Some of the rankings are very close, so I’m not going to debate them if they are 1-4 spots apart.

23 opponents in world title matches, some of whom were beaten twice.

    Povetkin
    Ibragimov
    Byrd
    Chagaev
    Peter
    Haye
    Brewster
Jennings* ( Much if his career is left ) could go up or down
Pulev* ( Much of his career is left ) could go up or down
    Chambers
    Thompson
    McCline
    Rahman
    Brock
    Mercer
    Austin
    Wach
    Botha
    Pianeta
    Jefferson
    Mormeck
    Shufford
    Leapai

*I would place Fury right below Jennings for now. So yes 9th best for me.*

Going by just Wlad's wins I'd put the following ahead of Fury(in no order):

    Povetkin
    Pulev
    Haye
    Byrd
    Chagaev
    Chambers
    Ibragimov
    Thompson 1
    Peter 1
    Jennings

That's 10, if you only count Byrd once, and doesn't include guys who beat Wlad, Sanders and Brewster would both rate higher than Fury as well.

I'd put Fury in with guys like McCline, Brock, and Barrett. It depends on how Fury's career plays out after he faces Wlad. If he has a good career after Wlad there's a handful of guys I could see him passing and being one of Wlad's 10 best but for now he doesn't crack the top 10 for me.

Thanks to Mendoza and Bogart for listing them out. I think these are sensible rankings so far. But on paper at a guess, I think it's safe to say it's totally arguable.

Currently not top 10 but he could be depending on how he performs during fight and career after it.

It may be a while before I can be convinced that was good Fury and not the worst Wlad or what ratio we're looking at.
