With Tyson Fury you cannot trust him to honor a contract you step aside with a deal to face the winner you likely end up with no fight.

Yes and there is no pride nor honor in not stepping aside.

Humility. That's what Joshua could use. The ice cold will and patience to shut himself off of the world and reshape himself into something new. Then come back.

Be water, Anthony, not motor oil.

15 mil to step aside and you can fight someone else less dangerous in the meantime for additional millions with the promise of a match against the winner of the step aside match for more millions. Yea I'd take it.

Have you heard of the phrase you can't have your cake and eat it ?

Well in this case you can, here's 15m and you get to fight the winner for all the belts.

You would have to be all kinds of dumb to think that's not a great idea.

Hmmm, let's see...I just got my hide tanned and am looking for a new coach and camp. I could really use this extra time, plus a huge payday vs undisputed champion awaits me afterwards. I could get paid 15 million for doing **** all, or I could get paid around the same amount to get my hide tanned again, lose, and potentially damage my future earnings. Decisions, decisions.

Surely at the level of the game Joshua is at money is nowhere near as important as glory or how he will be remembered in Sporting History. 15 million for nothing and getting out of an immediate rematch with Usyk seems great but if it truly is so great why has Joshua not accepted it ? At the end of the day is Joshua a fighter or a businessman ? Can Joshua live with the stain of not rematching his conquerer ? Can Joshua let his biggest rival do his fighting for him ?

As the purists love to say, “it’s their health not yours”. Nothing better than getting paid for not throwing a punch.

Fury is a loose cannon. If he beats Usyk and that’s a big if then he could retire. Joshua and Hearn can’t risk letting Fury be in control of the belts. So no I wouldn’t step aside if I was AJ

$15,000,000 to step aside? I'd step aside, climb over the fence, go through the trees, walk through the field, go down the embankment, and jump in the Penobscot River for $15,000,000.

There are only a couple of factors, when combined, that might convince me to take the fight instead of the money. If I already had the money saved from previous fights and I felt I was running out of time as a world class fighter I don't think I would step aside. That being said, boxers are some of the worst at knowing when their skills are eroding.

In any other situation I would take the money.
