    No, we need to bump LHW to 185 and CW to 210 and SMW to 174

    I keep hearing this and I agree, but just because we have too many unnecessary weight classes doesnt mean we shouldn't create a necessary weight class.

    I've always thought the 175 to 200 jump was too much. The lower weight classes are split by just a few pounds, then the top has a 25% of body weight jump.

    Personally I'd like the change quite a few weight classes around but not add any more. Perhaps subtract a couple at the lower end.

    A fit guy who walks around at 190 pounds is screwed as a boxer right now. He could fight at his walking around weight and have a 20+ pound disadvantage on fight night or try to lose 17% of his body weight to fight at light heavy, likely weakening himself in the process.

    Definitely, yes. There are lots of guys at LHW who get squeezed out the sport, almost, in their latter years simply because they can't move up in weight.

    Usyk is basically a HW, dominating in a division that extends from 175 all the way through 200.

    If that sort of gap ratio were true of all the other divisions, they'd look like this and their weight limits would be as follows;

    105lbs - Minimumweight (Junior Fly, Fly and Super Flyweight would all cease to exist)
    118lbs - Bantamweight (Super Bantam, Featherweight and Super Featherweight would no longer exist)
    133lbs - Lightweight (Jr Welter and Welterweight would no longer exist)
    150lbs - Jr Middleweight (Middleweight would no longer exist)
    etc...

    9 divisions would not exist if the gap that's in between LHW and Cruiserweight were true across the entire sport. I think it would be farcical to suggest this makes the sport better.

    Yes that's probably even better solution, but I doubt that would happen because nobody would support messing with the original 8 weight class limits.

    The fact is 175 to 200 with no weight class in between is a problem. Let's call a spade a spade.

    Completely agree there is no other guy in that situation besides the 190-195 pound guy. Everybody else can fit into a perfect weight class.

    I dont know what you can say to a guy who walks around at 190-195 lean, but cant make 175. Imagine facing a guy like Gassiev and hes just too damn big for you. The other option is to become a zombie at 175 and face those beasts while you're drained.
