In that case, sure, I'd take it. $10,000 affords some decent travel accommodations. :good

For 10k, no...I love boxing. Heck if I had **** tons of money, part of my retirement would be to watch as many awesome fights live.

Now what if it was a ridiculous amount of cash, say in the hundreds of mils. Logically I would want to say yes, i'll take the cash. But deep down, I feel like it would be hell. The psychological effect will have me constantly guessing what happened. Why did this fight change my life? Why am I not allowed to see it, what are they hiding? These thoughts would haunt me for the rest of my life and make such a trivial thing become a nightmare at times. For the sake of my sanity, I say no....no amount of cash would make me take this deal.

Log on to esb and say "I can turn 10k into 120k within a year"

If it's that easy to make 120X your investment within a year this guy would be a billionaire

    That's not true.

I wont be buying the fight & I'm not getting one penny for doing so. I'm not paying a penny to watch yet another Mayweather farce. I have donated to Manny's typhoon relief charity though

A billion dollars is a lot of money. That much money moves the market.

    It's not the same thing.

    Not even close.

I would take the 10k cash and then buy 1 minutes worth of time in an internet cafe to check the winner. Nobody is stopping me finding out what happened.

I worked in 'the market' in sales and trading for 10 years at Jefferies and Deutsche before moving to private equity. Unless you have the stones to commit very large chunks of that $1B net worth at a time you aren't moving a thing.

Honestly, it depends on the market cap of the equity or derivative that you put your investment in. What are you referring to specifically? Apple?

You're right, you won't have much impact in the movement of Apple.
