Cotto showed improvements and has three decent wins since his loss to Pacquiao.
I dont know. I wont mind it.
Better then rematching Ortiz or taking on Berto.
Hardly anyone at 147 that could give Floyd a good run.
At 154 Cotto would be bigger.

No, I won`t... words can barely describe the disgust I feel towards Floyd, Pac, arum & every **** involved in this 2 year long farce that has made this great sport a complete joke, I refused to pay for the Pac-JMM 3 fight & I seen that as more competitive than a Floyd-Cotto fight, I watched it for free the next day tho but if I was unable to watch it for free then it wouldn`t have bothered me one bit.

They must fight next so that everyone can get back to normal (arguing n **** about who might win & who is p4p no1 etc) & we can start looking forward to seeing them vs other opponents without feeling as if we`re being given 2nd prize everytime the fight doesn`t happen.

But you consider Ortiz elite and a viable opponent. Ortiz probably would quit against Margarito.

Why? Mayweather would take every round. He would be smart and move and box, Cotto try to engage with no luck, and any engagement that did take place would be short and sweet. It certainly would not be exciting

Not really. It would have been great years ago though.

Boxing is about what happens, not what would or could happen. Calderon could beat Segora. JML could beat Salido. Jones could beat Tarver. Darchinyan could beat Doniare. That is before these fights actually happened.

Obviously, Floyd-Pac is the preferred choice. But Cotto's earned the right to be viewed as an alternate opponent if that fight can't be made. And while I think Floyd wins, I could see Cotto doing well enough in the fight to take some rounds from him at any rate.

If not Pacquiao, then yes. But it won't happen anyway. Floyd doesn't have the balls to do it.

Not now. The time for that fight was 2007/2008 when Floyd fought Hatton then "retired."

Mayweather schools him and picks Cotto off all night.
