Wouldn't it be better for UFC to have Sylvia has their champ again ?

You know , as much as i hate Tim Sylvia , for the sake of ufc's HW division i think it would be preferable to see Nogueira lose.
Because now that couture is gone (and since they'll never get emelianenko)..

It would be terrible for the credibility of the division to get stuck with a "champ" who's been severally owned twice by a guy who's (according to dana white).

+ if he wins , we'll probably have nog vs werdum II (already outclassed in pride).

Or maybe Brock Lesnar is the dark horse of the division ? (not skilled in the sub department , but top notch wrestling + sick strength makes him a difficult opponent for anyone).

I'd rather see someone else owning sylvia.

They won't even been able to have a re-re-re match since they'll never get their hands on emelianenko.

Even Jackson will / could eventually have a 3rd fight vs wanderlei...
But if nog becomes the next champ...it's a totally different situation.
Unless of course , fedor gets beaten at M1.

 

Well , maybe not to the average fan who knows **** about pride's past but when you know that Nogueira was defeated a bunch of times by Emelianenko ? The guy they'll never be able to buy / own ?

and even though Nog's career record is one of the most impressive in the hw division. It doesn't the change the fact that he never was able to beat Fedor in his career. Better yet , fedor's domination over this guy was almost embarrassing. Nogueira NEVER lost a rematch in his career (fedor being the exception).

Barnett's not in the ufc but at least nog defeated him in the rematch for example.

 

I also think that he's got one of the most impressive resume but still...the irony , is that fedor has been like a cancer in his career. And people won't even be able to say "Nog has improved , he'd probably beat fedor now"...We all know it's bull****.

Anyway , as far as i'm concerned. If Nogueira beats Sylvia , i'll always keep thinking about this.
But he almost got brutally koed by Herring a few months ago , so maybe he's not what he used to be anymore either.

but if he's the new champ
we're surely gonna have werdum vs nog II
and if he wins the rematch , maybe they'll throw Kongo at him.. (too one dimensional on the ground)...He's gonna be champ for a long time imo.

I'm still hoping to see sylvia win even though i hate his guts.
