Wouldn't it have made more sense for Sky to push for the Alexander-Bailey fight?

    I'm a it confused why sky would there limited budget on Ward-Dawson when Froch isn't going be rematching Ward to soon I wouldn't have fought. The better Idea would be to get the Alexander-Bailey fight with Kell Brook potentially fighting the winner? Thoughts?

    Ward is the No 1 at 168 and Dawson at 175. Although it would have been preferable to have a catchweight in this instance, its still a highly relevant fight for the sport as two top guys are facing off and people are begining to become intrigued as to how good Ward actually is.

    The other fight is an accident waiting to happen. Bailey is a tremendous puncher, but can drift through fights for rounds and alexander is about as hot and cold as they come. Hes already been shown not to be the second coming of Ray Leonard as some would have had you believe and can be involved in boring fights.

    Couple that with the fact that the scores will be stacked against Bailey as the non Golden Boy fighter, as well as the point that Alexander would never come to the UK (would Hearn put Brook in with him?) means that theres very little room for working in Skys favour for this fight. in my opinion of course

    Have you seen Alexander or Bailey fight?

    One barks like a small dog everytime he throws a punch and the other seems to forget where he is half the time

    Obviously you are looking at it from skys pov i.e future opponents on sky bill, yeah i kind of understand it too as froch probably will never face dawson. however id rather see the two best of tneir division face off in a chess match and believe it will be much better than people think.

    :lol: That's also true. At least you just MIGHT see a spectacular KO.
    Ward vs Dawson will go down like say Wlad vs Hopkins on thier worst day would action wise.
    Dawson couldn't excite his missus and Ward is the most boring fighter of the last 40 years.
    It's going to be dreadful
