That's because compared to Bhop, Ward only had a couple fights. If he had stuck around and had a legit pro career he would have strings of highlights on his dirty tactics. Ward is probably the most overrated fighter in recent years. Ward is only 9-0 in world title fights, even Tank is almost at that level. Real legends like FMJ went 26-0 in title fights, Pac went 17-4-2 in title fights, JCC went 31-4-2 in title fights, RJJ went 22-3 in wrld title fights.....Ward just gets credit outside his pay grade.

Lol Ward gets no credit outside of the hardcore fanbase. The guy gets more love when he comes to the UK. It's a damn shame Americans don't appreciate what a talent they had in Ward, we'd have statues of him over here.

 

I would think this affects his credibility if he has a knee injury and he would fight again? If he loses he will blame the knee injury.

It's a shame really but not really unexpected. America is racist as **** his own country doesn't even support him for the most part and his own countrymen love to bash and tear him down every chance they get. They rather support a foreign fighter over one of their own because of the color of his skin. Sickening really. That type of stuff doesn't happen in other countries only in America.

 

It seems Ward didn't fit into the American narrative of what a black boxer should be like or act like. He didn't have a huge entourage, or go on about his money or have loads of relationships, and he was uniquely very articulate. It seems American fans didn't really know what to do with him.
