Brother those are just excuses and you know it. In what world does it take 4 months for a busted eardrum to heal? May is not possible due to his political career.

You have to understand that all parties involved, meaning HBO, Top Rank, GBP, and various businessmen such as Jerry Jones, are trying to balance two things here. First is they want to ride the wave of popularity boxing is enjoying at the moment and so strike while its hot, but at the same time they need the time to promote the fight as best they can.

They dont want to push this fight back and risk losing public interest, HBO does not want for the two fighters to get involved in different matches before they meet, people are talking about it now so lets get it done now.

That article really sounds like Arum is pushing hard. Hes almost on Mayweathers side, so the deal must look really good regarding Mayweathers demands. He knows if it doesnt happen now, the biggest paydays for everyone could vanish for good. Im not so sure Pac will take the fight. He has to prepare to start campainging. How is he going to do that training for a big fight.

This is good and hopefully they will strike the deal. If it ain't 50/50 make it 50/50 and Arum's greedy self take the hit. This old fart made enough money on PBF and PAC.

I have a gut feeling it's not 50/50, it's probably 55/45 or 60/40. Arum said ,the fight will generate 100 million and PAC will get around 30 million. I'm not sure how the numbers will work out but Arum will present the contract that Manny will be making 30 million and not focuse on the 50/50 split.

Either way it must happen and the Dallas venue sound exciting.

    Biggest Ever Historic Fight! :good

Arum's quotes do surprise me, I thought he'd be the biggest problem in all this.

Then again, he has a hell of a lot to gain by making this fight, even if Pac got KO'd in one.

Thought it was JC Chavez vs Haugen(?) in Mexico. Believe it was 100k+. Know for sure it is in top 5 of all time attendance to view a match, if not the number 1. If they priced it right, bet they could fill entire stadium like a football game and plus some, using the field and standing area outside arena.

Fcuk the political scene for the time being. If March 13th is agreed upon, I would strongly advise Manny Pacquiao to not even concern himself with political campaigns. Mayweather is without question the best fighter Pacquiao will have ever fought & he should remember that!

The day after Pacquaio-Cotto, Floyd stated to Sky Sports that he felt a fight against Pacquiao would be "easy work", so Floyd must be highly confident in his ability to win the fight!

I reckon 50-50 split has been agreed by both fighters. No way Floyd would accept anything less!

You guys gotta remember that as a promoter Arum is only on the side of his own money. At this point he doesn't care if Pac wins or loses because it is most likely Pac's last fight or at least his last biggest real fight.

Pac just trained hard and had a tough fight with Cotto and had a broken eardrum among other lesser injuries. Overall Pac is somewhat worn and it would not be in his best condition to take a fight so soon but because of the demand and limited options, he might just take it.

Personally I rather he fight on May 1st if it wasn't because of the campaign and it would suck if they would wait it out til Sept to fight Mayweather. But whatever Pac chooses, I doubt he is trying to duck Floyd as he have proven many times in challenging himself. Can't blame Floyd either since he already signed regardless if it was money or legacy that motivates him. In the end I hope they both will fight when they are fittest to provide the best fight possible, wish them both the best.

Wow! I can't believe I'm actually hearing this from Arum. Even he is calling it like it is. It also shows you that all Arum really cares about is making money and not protecting Manny.
