Wow. Boxing is now scored based on how many pitty pats you can land.

Hopkins clearly landed the telling and more effective blows. This fight was scored based on the crowd cheering. The crowd was clearly on Calzaghe's side, and that's who they gave it to. It had nothing to do with who was controlling the fight, landing the punches, countering effectively, etc.

I've got nothing against Calzaghe and stated clearly that he was the real deal after taking Kessler to school, but tonight, Nard did to him what he did to Kessler. Nard took him to school and put a beating on him. He won because the crowd cheered durring his ineffective flurries. Durring many of the flurries, even, he paid dearly.

    Congrats to the Welchman anyhow.

Actually if rds are to close to call judges are told to award rds to the fighter pushing the fight.

Slappy joe never landed a single meaningful punch. Hopkins 115-112.

The amount of childish, pathetic, completely devoid of sense and boxing knowledge bull**** everyone had to put up with after the Hatton fight and now they want to reason? **** that!

Hey Hopkins, you cheated, brawled, paid the ref off, and stil you couldn't beat a mere white boy!

    As Ric Flair would say.....

    WOOOOOH!

Thats what happened, though Joe only landed a handfull of straight lefts that had anything on them at all.

I have no problem with the decison though.
