Why is Diaz overrated all of a sudden? Campbell fought a better fight, it doesn't suddenly make Diaz overrated. If anything, Campbell is UNDERRATED. You want to rant about ESB posters, THAT'S the problem. We yell and scream for big fights, for guys to step up and fight ANYONE, and when we get fighters who will, like Diaz, as soon as he loses he is "overrated". That's a travesty. And it's why no one steps up and protects their "0". If they step up and fight big fights, they are bound to lose some.
Man. Im done listening to these idiots. And I won't name them. You guys over-hype a lot of these posters. Im not gonna name them, you know who you are.
diaz always has that nice tight defence. but tonight campbell was getting thru. very ragged showing from diaz. campbell is good against come forward fighters though.
You picked Diaz as well, now you're talking **** about everyone else who picked him, calling them idiots? Not the sharpest move.
I like how you say "ESB members are idiots" yet you blindly followed them. So basically you're borderline ******ed.
You're right and wrong. Saying Diaz was overrated because he lost tonight is wrong. Saying Diaz has been overrated period isn't totally unfounded. He was certainly overrated a bit on ESB. People were claiming tonight's outcome was impossible...and claiming that Diaz beats anyone in the weight range no ifs ands or buts. Clearly, there has been some overrating.
Damn right kg....damn right. Its like if you aint undefeated, your overrated. Campbell fought a hell of a fight...and Diaz fought tough. How many fighters would have made the final bell in this one? Fact is, Diaz fell apart after the cut (saying he couldnt see in the corner around round 7...notice how many rounds he won AFTER that???). It doesnt mean he is overrated, it means he lost.
In hindsight it's overrating. You weren't sold on him to begin with, so to you, he was being overrated. I was and still am sold on the kid. When Lewis got stopped by Rahman, was he suddenly overrated cuz everyone thought he was the best HW in the world prior to the loss? No, and IMO, neither is Diaz. He simply lost a fight...
You're damn right Campbell was underrated, BEYOND underrated. I didn't think at 36 he had what it took anymore to do what he did tonight, but damn did he impress me mate! I've been a follower of his for roughly 2 and a 1/2 years, picked his upset over Kid Diamond at crazy 6/1 odds, when he steps up, he's awesome, but when he's cold he fights B- or less, it's awkward. Incredible **** from him tonight, 36 years old!
I agree, Diaz is still the 2nd best in the current division. And will be the BEST if Campbell pulls his normal routine of being hot and cold, getting starched by someone beneath him!:yep A lot of people just aren't familiar with Campbell, this is likely a 1 time scenerio that he steps up THAT well to the best of his ability.:yep
