Always have and always will score it for Floyd. Floyd swept the first 4 or 5 rounds. No way in hell Castillo won 7 of the last 8. Not in the slightest. Perhaps its due to people calling Floyd's 1 point deduction a 10-8 round and Castillo's point deduction a 9-9 (10-10 on a 10 point must) round. Similar to Jones-Tarver 1 in terms of classifying this as a robbery. p.s. My scorecard was 116-113. It surprises me how I even came up with that score, considering the point deductions (obviously even rounds were involved).
Well, at least we know you're not in this group This content is protected *****s celebrating Floyd's victory over Mosley, and saw that Floyd is p4p#1 @ yahoo sports. LOL
When i saw that gif I really thought Damn that's the entire Mayweather Mafia. LOL You can see BigReg, Jacory, toopretty.. I wouldn't want to say another member but he's smack in front of that picture.
Castillo was the better fighter, but I have to agree it wasn't a real robbery. It just shows that the scoring method in boxing isn't always accurate. In some cases boxers can just edge 6 rounds, lose 5 convincinly and have 1 tied, or just given to them with some judges not giving even rounds. And then at the end of the night, the winning boxer can have taken a lot more and much harder punches and still win it. 115-114 or 115-113. It's not fair, but we have to live with it.
I always counted this as Floyds only loss. However, I have recently found out through this forum he actually fought injured. He did kick Castillos ass on the return fight though. Anyway, this has already been discussed here to death
Don't know if it qualifies as a robbery, but at the least this was a very debatable 'win' for lil'Floyd. Most people and experts had Castillo winning, and so had I. Comfortably. But the judges saw it differently, and they're the ones sitting ringside. So I guess the fight could've gone either way, depending on how you score fights. 115-111 and 116-111 scores are ridiculous tho. BTW, the rematch was very close too.
I thought Castillo won. But Floyd convincingly won the rematch. I don't understand why this is still brought up, whether he is undefeated or 40-1 would have made little difference to his career.
