Wow Cotto chickened out on the weigh in! Avoided Face-Off with Mayorga

Cotto's playing the mind games himself. He knows Ricardo craved the stare down and attention, so he didn't give it to him. Mayorga can have some attention (medical) today instead.

Well when Mayorga is battered and bruised,and recovering his conciousness after the brutal beating he is going to get,at least he can take solace in the fact that he won the staredown.

I dont understand why people are making such a big deal about Cotto not doing the staredown.

Cotto's a grown man and knows what he's doing, hes not being a coward if hes ready to fight in the ring. People still wouldnt bet against him so people need to STFU

Yeah Cotto must be terrified of an overhyped bar fighter, Mayorga has been done for years, all dude can/will do is run his head.

 

I fully agree, Cotto is definitely scared...not doin the staredown? Its obvious, how can you ppl not see how scared he is!!!

It's probably a psychological thing. I don't think Cotto is scared of Mayorga at all but he may want Mayorga to think he is, just to make him overconfident.

It's not a case of Cotto being scared. If he was that scared he didn't want to look in his eyes, he'd pull out of the fight.

 

I had to watch this a few times...I get easily distracted by shiny objects.
I look forward in seeing those honies in between rounds.


Let's just take Cottos word...he said he didn't want to give the clown more airtime...the statesman and fight will take place in the ring and Mayorga will go down !!!

 

Man honestly... Cotto might have some trepidation. Who skips the weigh in stare down? You guys are trapped in "loving" Cotto too much. This is bad. Just look at his body language in the press conferences.

What all of you guys fail to realize is that this is a HORRIBLE matchup for Cotto. Who did Cotto lose to first? A bully. He then had his hands full against a "lazy" counter puncher. He was then destroyed by Manny. Mayorga is the WORST fighter for Cotto to be fighting. First off he is BIG. Second, Mayorga isn't "a bully" he is THE bully and looks to be in shape and motivated.

If Cotto can't down him in six or make Mayorga respect his power? Cotto is going to be in serious trouble. I think we can all agree that Mayorga has a better chin than Margo. I hope this isn't what it looks like.
