Ding is not suited to 5 round fights. Nor is he suited to living in a house where he has unlimited access to food.

I thought it was between Ding and Felix Cora jr as well.

What about Alfredo Escalera JR? Have any of you seen him fight?

Only seen him fight on the show and altough he looked good boxing and KD that kid(Schneider),he had a totallt outmatched opponent. As Cora looked I wouldn't pick against him,and Ross and Hoye are probably better too.The nigerian kids look motivated aswell

I saw the Escalera kid on the show too, but I've never seen him anywhere else. Every time I look at this kid I think of the freaking WARS his father had with Arguello. I'm curious; is he his father son? Or is he more like the Hearns or McGirt kid who got the name, but not the genes???

I don't think he resembles his father,I mean he is a whole lot more bigger physically than his father.

This is an excellent observation, and people shouldn't make snap judgements off of this one fight. Ding often gets his opponents in the late rounds, and here he didn't have those rounds to work with. You could make an argument that he should have started sooner, but I don't think a fight like this shows he's "shot." Not at all.:-(

Ding isn't exsactly an A level fighter. He is from the caveman days.

I spared with Ding a ling (Darnel) is what we call him.... I'm 08. When we got in the clinch, I found out why they call him "Ding a ling".

Let's just say he doesn't only pack a big punch....

This is preceisely what I was thinking while watching the fight. It's much easier to avoid Ding for 5 rounds than it is for 10. I agree that he would likely have caught up to Hino in later rounds had it been a full-length fight.

I mean he is 50 lbs over his dad at this age when his dad was at this age.
