Genuinly happy that Ward won, i find him a much better fighter than the class-less Dirrell, i think this makes the tournament so much more interesting now that the original favourite has been exposed.

the logic being diisplayed on these boards is unreal. ward did win all bar one round and was fighting as if he realy wanted it. kessler looked flat and rusty imo and was undoubtedly affected by the refereeing. anyone who disputes that is delusional as someone saying kessler was cheated etc and not giving ward his props.



ward demonstrated the difference between himself and dirrel. he tried to fight and box as opposed to box and spoil


dan rafael gave froch the victory. antonio tarver gave him the victory. that shows imo that it was a fight that could have gone either way. far from the robbery americans made it out to be

 

And who on here has said Kessler was winning? Or that the fight was even close? Nobody as far as Ive seen. The only beef people have is the headbutting.

 

No he's not he's mechanical , has no lateral movement , his footwork is average , his hands are relatively slow , he telegraphs his jab too often , has no plan B , and only has 3 punches .

I thought that Kessler would win this bout, but never was completely sold on him. In a thread related to possible Super Six upsets I actually predicted Ward to win against Kessler.

Ward was very good last night. I've no issues with saying this.

However he won't win against Abraham if they meet in the ring.
