It's going to be hilarious when Floyd whitewashes Pacquiao on the cards. Hell, I even like Manny, but these sorts of remarks are going to blow up in your face.

 

Still, he neither made a promise nor did he say he was going to do something and then backed out like Haye or DLH (said he was gonna fight the winner of Margo-Cotto). I can say I want to travel to Asia but that doesn't necessarily mean I'm gonna do it this year. The guy fought a little over 2 months ago. Give him the entire Summer off. He has provided community service so we really can't say he's been dicking around like a fool and wasting time.

He doesn't HAVE to follow Arum's schedule. If Mayweather wants to take time off so be it. It would only build up ring rust and he isn't getting younger. Therefore I wouldn't exactly call it an easy way out. A tough fight will ALWAYS exist in Boxing whether it's on November 13th or anytime next year. I'm not saying Floyd should never be criticized but it's better to wait and see what his next major move is before you start casting stones. At this point all he wants is at least a Summer vacation and everyone including you should be entitled to it. If he had fought back in February or sometime in early '10, I would concede that he's acting like a *****. Realize that May 1st was not that long ago.
