(WOW) Hooker is getting 1.2 million to fight Saucedo

Dem Matchroom USA/DAZN fighters gonna get paid son, whether they a name or not, much like the PBC. And how has that worked for the health & growth of that company? They went from being on numerous platforms all over TV to the JV squad on Fox/FS1 and the varsity squad on Showtime.

Well Uncle Bob and Eddie do have a very good business relationship, not sure what that has to do with this but...

 

Top Rank out bid Eddie. To be fair, they both bid ridiculously high. Seems like Bob has some of that ESPN money to throw around.

 

Hooker isn't a strong world champ but in the right fights could make for some fun fights. The Saucedo fight should be a fun watch.

 

Bob's looking out for Hooker who has like 22 mouths to feed, 1.2 should just about cover groceries until everyone's 18th birthdays.

 

I think this purse bid was extremely important to both the DAZN project (who can match Hooker v a new star who emerges from the WSSB) or Top rank who want Saucedo as a blood and thunder figurehead of their new breed.

Basically the winner gets home advantage and possibly the edge in what should be a very competitive fight.

Both fighters will be delighted with the outcome.

 

That will come in handy for those legal bills.

 

Which is why those people who seemed to be thinking somehow matchroom losing the purse bid was a disaster need to eat some crow.
