How can you give round 3 to Griffin if he got hit cleanly by Jackson most of the time? Griffin was throwing those weak ass kicks and punches and Rampage was hitting him with strong ones.
I knew Rampage was in trouble when I saw him in the ring. Isn't he usually ripped? He looked pretty soft around the belly.
I hope he takes a lot of picture with his belt..because Dana White is already planning an event for Liddell vs Him after Liddell beat Evans
I kinda noticed that too, he wasn't in best shape but he held up really well and didn't look tired in 5th.
Oh hey, did anyone mention what a great fight it was? Well just in case, damn that was an awesome fight. I can't wait for the rematch!
Oh man, he is LOVING this **** right now. 185 theres no good fights to make because Silva just ****ed em all up. But this titles rotation in 205 is the best deal for Dana to score big bucks on big main events.
Things did go my way you ****ing ******. I am not the bitter whinning one about the decision, am I? Cheers. Forrest won. Griffin controlled the entire rounds fighting his fight that he wanted (total ring generalship), Rampage landed a few punches and that was it, none that really hurt Griffin besides one.
Jackson hits harder, but Griffin showed a lot more technical skill especially on the ground and he definitely won the last round. That said, if it had been a draw nobody could have complained. I thought Rampage looked a bit clumsy at times, although he was always a punch away. Close fight and maybe the superior ground game won out.
Have you seen those knees Silva's got?, i would GUARANTEE that the spider ko's that club fighter, those little leg kicks he was throwing tonight wouldn't work at all, he'd get a knee right in his chin and a kick to his face .. After Silva's debut at 205 i hope they set up this fight by the end of the year, Griffin's just a pumped up Franklin imo, and we all know what the Spider did to him.
1st round to rampage 2nd obviously to griffin 3rd either way 4th either way 5th round to griffin, rampage just faded start and middle of this round. he just tried to make one big push to make a good end fight impression but that's just about it.. moral lesson for both shogun and rampage(who are both my fave fighters, btw): never underestimate any of your opponents and i don't know if you guys heard rampage's last words during his post fight interview; "I will never again take a month more off.."
I'm not here like I was at the onstart of the MMA forum its not like it used to be. It was quieter and more personal, we discussed and argued but we knew who was who. Now I usually wait 'til midweek when no fights are going on:rofl where is jimmie anyway?
