Forrest pretty clearly won 2, 3, and 5. With a very possible 10-8 round in the second, Rampage had no offense there whatsoever.

Theres more to MMA than punches, and forrest won because of that, anybody arguing that Rampage won 4 rounds was scoring a boxing match instead of MMA.

2 of the 3 judges gave round 1 to Forrest. If that isn't a robbery, I don't know what is.

Outside of the last 30 seconds or so, Forrest was winning, I think Rampage took it, but its not unreasonable to think the vast majority of the round outweighs 1 punch.

For the majority of the fight they were, it's pretty simple.

When they're standing and trading punches, what do you score by, other than boxing?

After the 2nd round Forrest barely landed any leg kicks and the fight only briefly went to the ground once, with Rampage taking him down and then slamming him to escape a triangle. Other than that it was mostly just boxing exchanges, with Rampage winning the vast majority.

Forrest was marginally winning the round until being dropped and nearly knocked out, which heavily swung it in Rampage's favour. There's no way on earth Forrest won that round.

Even the guys who are utterly convinced Forrest won the fight agree he lost the first round, so I don't know what those 2 judges were smoking.

Why are you mentioning boxing in an MMA fight? Why?

That slam was weak. It got him out of the triangle but he lost points right there for getting his ass in a triangle. You don't get a point for getting out of it. Many of Rampage's punch landed on gloves and arm. His shots that did land were devastating and hard but the scoreing for MMA is more then landing a few hard shots. You get point for being the aggresor. the guy who controls the fight, the sub attempts, the take down, the kicks. Please stop comparing this to boxing. When you say Forest lost in the boxing bewteen Ramoage and him you just sound stupid.

No, they weren't, Rampage was trying to make it into that, but instead he got kicked alot, got kneed, got triangled, got omaplattaed. They were not just exchanging punches, as somebody who doesn't watch much MMA you might not pick up on it, but its the truth. Didn't help that he was in reverse the whole second half of the fight, he was simply not active enough and got outworked.

It was a close but clear fight

I thought Jackson just nicked it with his quality punching, I thought the kicks only counted in rd 2 so I didn't view them as anything great in the remaining rds.

Even in the boxing, Rampage too often hung back and waited for a bomb, he ate alot of jabs and got pushed back without him throwing anything back quite a lot.

The difference is that most of the time this place isn't filled with bull**** emotional calls.

Personally, I scored it a draw, but I had no problems whatsoever with the decision. I had.

    1: 10-9 Page
    2: 10-8 Griffin
    3: 10-9 Page
    4: 10-9 Page
    5: 10-9 Griffin

But rounds 3 and 4 (and even 1, except for the end) were so close that I have no problem seeing a Griffin victory.

And for the record, thats not a "horrible decision" either way, it comes down to a few turning points in round 3.
