Great fight. Both men showed grit and determination. I just hope we don't see any "Kessler was exposed" threads because he wasn't. JC may have won by a wide margin, but Kessler put up a good fight.

I may have slightly overrated Kessler. I thought he was primed to take it to the next level. Although I'm not a big fan, I have to elevate Calzaghe to the next level. Kessler didn't look bad. For any fighter, especially a 35 year old fighter, to do what he did tonight against Kessler, I have to reassess my evaluation of Calzaghe.

Why should he get a rematch?

Let's not go that far. Nobody is just going to smash Hopkins' head in.

He's not a HW. Even if he did go to HW, he still wouldn't get his head smashed in.

In trying to sound clever, you just exposed yourself as an idiot. Congratulations.

Wrong, great fighter. He couldn't adapt; but not for lack of trying. It's not that he wouldn't or didn't make adjustments - they were just all quashed. You make it sound as though there were some obvious solution Mikkel couldn't or wouldn't bring to the fore - I'll say that nobody could have successfully adapted to Joe's performance tonight.

Respect to Calzaghe, he negated Kessler with his speed and stamina. I hoped Kessler would put in his sprint from round 8 and overpower Joe, but he only maneged that to some degree in the 12th. (Missed most of the 8th because some idiots behind me started their own fistfight)

Calzaghe now is that good in my book too. Congrats and I hope Kessler will go to the States and improve himself. Kessler is good but not great yet.
