Great fight with two great fighters. I thought Kessler was hurting Joe with some shots early on especially a with those uppercuts. Gotta like Kessler seems like a gent, admitted joe hurt him. Nice to seem someone gracious in defeat and who doesn't have his head up his arse to the point of delusion.

Kessler is -not- a 'very, very average fighter'. Give credit where credit is due.

Because you underestimated Kessler, plain and simple, Kessler won a huge amount of fans tonight from Joes fans, something which none of his previous opponents had done, reason being Kessler is that good and very gracious.

You're just being bitter and it's pathetic. Kessler is still tremendous, and put up an incredible effort. This is the type of behavior that just goes to separate the real fans from the lily livered pansies. I was probably one of Mikkel's biggest non-Dane cheerleaders on here. My reaction to the fight is not to say "oh I was wrong to back this fighter, he sucks" - it's "holy ****, what hole did Calzaghe pull that sick performance out of". Both are great fighters. One proved to be greater - this does not render the defeated opponent ungreat. Simply less great. Someone who isn't clouded by womanly emotions would see through the fog of disappointment and recognize an A+ showing simply falling short of an A+++++ showing. A real fan critiques only when there is something to critique...doesn't fabricate critique to assuage their own disappointment. :hi:

    So proud tonight :p

Cracking fight, first 6 rounds I had Joe up by just 1 round but his superior boxing skills and adaptability saw him through to a comfortable decision in the second half of the fight.

Word of praise for Kessler though. Once Calzaghe retires or leaves the Super Middleweight Division he will reign for a very long time. A great boxer and champion and very gracious in defeat.
