HE really impressed me as a person. Very nice down to earth guy. AS a boxer he looked the way I expected. Mtagwa looked beat even before the weight in. He just came to collect a check. However, Gamboa skills, discipline and dedication are unquestionable
Im very impressed with Gamboa, but geez this guy doesnt learn he always leaves his hands way down and admires his work one too many times.
I understand now Gamboa is the flavor of the month. But wWait till Gamboa gets rocked in a fight or gives out poor performance and I bet these same people here sucking his dick will be the first ones to start a thread saying GAMBOA IS EXPOSED, GAMBOA IS A OVERRATED, etc.
His stock is like a roller coaster, it gradually goes up with every easy win then plummets down when he gets knocked down, then gradually goes up again until he gets knocked down. I remember most people here said he was ready for Pacquiao back in April of 2008, but when he got knocked down by Jimenez, the talks about pacquiao now exchanged to talks about Gamboa/Guzman.
impressive indeed. but let's not blow this out of proportion. gamboa is a full blown featherweight, and mtagwa is still a superbantam. anyway, i pick gamboa over lopez if it happens. the reason being, the style of gamboa
Very impressive. Too fast and strong and i was feeling bad for Mtagwa. Im also always amazed how the guy is built like a **** brickhouse. he looks massive you would never expect he weighs 126.
no excuses for mtagwa's performance vs lopez but it also remains to be seen if weight was an issue cause juanma did pick apart luveno who has never beenstoppec in 39 fights until now and defended his title 5 times
Honestly, we've seen Gamboa grow as a boxer. In the first round when he rocked Rogers, he didn't jump into finish at that point and become reckless.. he used too, and that's how he got dropped. He is more patient now, letting things naturally happen, as opposed to trying to push everything. I thought this was gonna be a tough fight, that might test him.. I was way wrong. Side thoughts on Lopez.. Is it possible to score a good TKO and not look impressive? Maybe it's because we just watched Gamboa annihilate Mtwaga, but Lopez still seems to lack confidence.
