All I have to say is wow.. I've been gone for quite some time.. Some of you might remember me, but I've been without the net, but always getting on one here and there to keep up with the upcoming fights and results.. Anyways, last Saturday night was just simply great.. I mean, many people doubted Pac to move up to 147 and beat DLH.. Called it a mismatch, but Pacquiao destroyed him.. Yes, De La Hoya had some weight issues, but was still a brilliant performance by Pacquiao.. People found excuses some what to discredit Pacs win over DLH.. Then he goes down to fight the king at 140, Ricky Hatton.. Although Pac was a betting favorite, many experts were still predicting a Hatton win, saying he was too big and strong.. Well, Pac knocked him out in two rounds.. Simply amazing.. I don't know how anyone can discredit this win for Pac.. He is adding to his resume after each fight.. Roach has made two predictions and he was been right.. Roach has carved Pacquiao into one of the greatest fighters of this era.. Definitely the true #1 P4P fighter in the world and even still with Mayweather coming back.. A year or two ago, many people laughed at the idea of a Pacquiao/Mayweather fight and now it's the fight everyone wants to see.. Pacquiao is a weight jumping marvel who can carry his power and speed with him wherever he goes and has the best trainer in boxing in Freddie Roach.. For now on, I will never doubt Roach.. If he makes a prediction, then it'll be mine prediction as well.. Now Pacquiao awaits.. There are talks of him fighting Miguel Cotto later this year, but theres also the Marquez/Mayweather fight.. Arum is not really interested in a Mayweather fight and Pacquiao is willing to fight anyone.. I really hope Pacquiao waits until July after the Marquez/Mayweather fight before he makes his decision on who he'll be fighting next.. Knowing Arum, he's probably already working on negotiations for the Pac/Cotto fight.. If Cotto comes down in weight to fight Pac, I'll favor Pac but I think it'll be 50/50 at welterweight as Cotto is a dominant force at 147.. I'd much rather see Pac fight Mayweather as it would definitely increase his resume by a large margin and then of course the trilogy between Pac/JMM.. There is only one person I'd be really nervous to see Pacquiao fight and thats Mosley.. But then theres the question.. What if Marquez beats Mayweather? Marquez will be the smaller man and the underdog, but this is boxing.. Anything can happen and Pacquiao has showed everyone that in his last two fights.. If JMM was to upset Mayweather, then there would be no reason for Pac to even fight Mayweather.. And would that put Marquez #1? I wouldn't think so.. Mayweather was been inactive since December 2007 and hadn't fought any top 5 welterweight while he was #1 P4P.. When he retired, he lost that crown and Pacquiao took it.. While Pac has been #1 P4P, he has been doing what he should be doing.. Yeah, he beat DLH and Hatton after Floyd did, but he did it better and went up in weight to do so.. Marquez is #2 and beating the retired #1 P4P doesn't make him #1 as he still does have a lost to Pacquiao althought some would like to call it controversial.. I think I've rambled on enough, but it simply put it.. No one can deny Pac's greatness and he is favorable against almost anyone up to 147 (except maybe for Mosley).. And I myself will never doubt Roach again nor Pacdbest wherever his future telling ass is at.. Let's bring on Mayweather, Marquez, and even Cotto.. :bbb
PacMan the favorite over Mayweather - I really dont see it that way. Nor do I see him the favorite over Cotto. He's doing his thing right now - but Mayweather nor Cotto would find themselves weight drain for a fight at 147. I think they both beat him and I see Mayweather beating him easily - but it's just my opinion. Mayweather's defense is far greater than anyone PacMan has fought - this would be the biggest difference in this fight.
