I've been a fan of Toney since the 90's when I first heard of the guy. He's the **** and always has been. He's an awesome fighter, people forget just how bad he was.

The New York State Athletic Commission AND the California State Athletic Commission.

Toney actually tested positive the 2nd time for taking a drug designed for horses to lose weight.

Well he tested postive and admitted it. I would say that is about all that I need in order to believe it.

He was caught twice...considering the lax state of drug testing in boxing, that is quite something! He is a cheat and doesn't deserve mentioning here.

The thing is he is a true middleweight. At his height he definately shouldnt NATURALLY weigh much more than that as a fighter.

As a football player , putting on weight with muscle and eating can seem like the proper thing to do. If Toney actually did road work he would have never made it to the HW division.

He cant even maintain a healthy , strong physical form at that weight because he is not supposed to be there technically.

Even at Cruiser weight when he kicked Jirov's ass he was overweight and not looking his best.

But anyway, Toney has had many fights ...somewhere over 70

And yet he was still able to maintain at world level in those higher weights.

Add Tommy Morrison too, 24 fights in his first 2 years.

Still, we're not talking about a lot of people that have done it, so it's an impressive achievement by Toney. I like to see busy fighters.

I must give Toney his due, in the early 90s he was damn awesome (and he wasn't so bad in his cruiserweight/early heavyweight renaissance either).

Nobody should compare Calzaghe's resume with Toney's. EVER.

On a head to head basis though, Calzaghe takes Toney.
