Really? That is nuts... I read something about MMA being banned in a cage in Oz... Is that correct? If so that is mental.

How is Oz Matt? One of my buddies went to Oz many times and loved it so he moved out there. About 3 months later he came back and said it was not the same living there as being on holiday.

Genuinely I was in a house with 5 aussies and not one knew who either fighter was. I mean I meet people who don't watch boxing or care about it but they know those two in the same way I know who kobe Bryant is and I've never watched a game of basketball.

Not sure maybe it was at some point but its pretty big here, much bigger than the UK, I think that was to do with one state but there have been UFC events in NSW and QLD. There is a link between surfers and muay thai so there has been an easy transition there I think. You see UFC tops all over the place and they sell UFC gear in Big W which is a bit like the non-food section of Tescos.

I really like it, just the culture here is a lot more relaxed and people are so much friendlier. Where I am you never see people hanging around at bus stops and on street corners which is a nice change. The weather goes without saying winters where it doesnt go beneath 10oC are lovely. For me the only thing that would stop me moving out here completely is all my mates and family I'd be leaving behind. Still considering it though.

Wow!!! It's only just got out of the -*C here in the last week! The other week it was snowing and -3*C where I live... then the rain came and all was back to normal.

That is what I read... what state is that? So is MMA bigger than boxing? Is that due to scum like Danny Green fixing fights?

I'd like to visit sometime I think. My missus keeps getting asked if she would consider moving there because she is a nurse and they seem to pay really well for nurses over there.
