That's just a promotional stuff. Gatti already lost to PBF at that point and probably Gatti simply wanted to get back at the mix in a hurry.

No big deal. But if it did happen Gatti will could have been punished to submission by Cotto.

 

Imagine what Cotto would do to Gatti! Holy ****, I'm thanking god this fight never happened. I like Gatti and Cotto might have done serious damage to him.

Wouldn't have to and wouldn't be able to are two different things. Granted, I would have Cotto by a late KO as well, but not in as dominating fashion. Gatti would be able to hit Cotto.

 

Cotto hits harder than Floyd though. Gatti would've been sleep before Round 3.

 

I'm not saying he doesn't hit harder, what I am saying is he get's hit more, reducing his punch output. Mayweather wasn't slowed by anything at all, hitting at will. Cotto would not have that luxuray.

I read this same article as well...I laughed so hard and then I got kind of worried just to think about the brain damage that Cotto would do to Gatti...I mean he would have ****ing straight up massacred Gatti harder than anyone has ever done in the past!!!atsch

Couldn't agree more. Cotto would have left Gatti hospitalized. You saw what he did to a relatively good defensive fighter in Malignaggie. Imagine what Cotto would have done.... OUCH
