I had it a draw. Thats what happens when you score a fight at the live event lol I had it 8-4 for Fury. Mistakenly believed that would equate to a draw with the two 10-8 rounds for Wilder. NOPE. 8-4 Fury Points 8 X 10= 80 points 2 x 9= 18 points 2 x 8= 16 points total 114 for Fury Wilder 10 X 4 = 40 points 9 x 8= 72 total 112 114-112 for Fury should have been my score Even if you scored a round 10-10 it would be 114-113 Fury. Its a serious stretch to give Wilder 5 rounds. I was being generous in giving wilder 4 rounds.
I gave him three but don't have any real issue with someone giving him five for the draw. Six would be going too far, but some of those early rounds were very inactive and Fury simply didn't land very much.
One could argue Wilder won the first 5 rounds based on activity alone. Fury put in no quality work until late in the fight. Slipping punches without landing anything won't win you rounds
That refs count just don’t sit right with me.. But I’m glad the rematch is near and both guys has been active so there should be no excuses either way.. Really wish boxing politics would allow the winner to face AJ/Usyk
