    its a shame america once a hotbed of boxing has seen its popularity fall to such an extent that a million people watching a boxing fight is good viewing figures.

    benn v eubank to put it in context of when boxing was not a minority sport was watched by 500 million WW

    our sport is being killed by ppv /to many belts/poor matchmaking.

    Kovalev lives in the US and has a pretty strong Russian American following. Plus, in the US the heavyweight division just isn’t a popular weight class. More US fans watch the light heavyweight division than the heavyweight division. Kovalev does better numbers than Wilder as well and Deontay is an American citizen

    Numbers were a bit disappointing for Kovalev, I was expecting about 10% higher but not too bad in retrospect. He will probably get that extra 10-15% next time out.

    Because nobody in US know who Joshua is , limeys needed an idol they have this stiff now. Joshua is a poor mans wlad and I think Wilder has very good chance to KO Joshua as he’s faster and hits harder .
