They do. Kovalev has treated JDJ with contempt for years and has put him in a uncomfortable position with the race stuff, now I’m not gunna make JDJ a martyr he stuck around and took it so I give him little sympathy and what he did with trading information was some scumbag stuff but he felt he had to after the way Kovalev violated him on national tv.

No disrespect mate, but it don't cut it..To pass on or collude with the enemy is far worse than being told to shut up on tv..JDJ should've manned up and walked, not hang around being a snake in the grass and ruining his rep..Kov had no respect for him, I wonder why.....JDJ proved by hanging around why Kov had no respect

I agree with you, tbh both guys did some scumbag stuff to each other and when Kovalev sacked him I didn’t make a big deal coz he deserved it and now Kovalev with his new trainer got what was coming to him, even the new trainer is destroying this man.

i'd say Kov's hard work without a doubt, but every man should have an opinion on JDJ's actions...I think Kov maybe a ****, but I think even less of a person with character traits like JDJ's

When I hear this kind of stuff from any fighter or person, for that matter, it indicates mental doubt or instability. The person is in search of something. They are not happy with their present state. Not a bad thing necessarily but can spell problems for boxers. And it seems odd for a guy like Kovalev to be spouting these kinds of New Age thoughts.

Fair enough, JDJ did do some snakey stuff. He should of walked when he felt his voice wasn’t being appreciated but the stayed for the pay check.

That's the bit that's embarrassing out of it all, bit of a Beta look, and no cut off point

Kova should have retired after losing twice to SOG.
    What's the big surprise?

You would give it another shot though after Ward 2, the sign's of his bad conditioning were there but this confirms his hearts not in it with even worse conditioning against Alvarez

Kovalev was cut from a different cloth and they don't make that fabric no more.

30+ is not be necessary downhill far from it. The problem is the mental side of it rather than the physical. You have to be a special kind of athlete to stay as dedicated and disciplined as you were in your twenties .

it's just human nature the grind becomes harder and harder mentally as much as physically and you are a lot of fighters / athletes cutting corners of not giving it there all.

Totally agree with this..The body might be able still mid 30's late 30's but mentally most cant continuously have that fire or determination as earlier days
