I think it'll make little difference. Probably slow Floyd down a tad.

    Source?

    This is Pac's counteroffer:
    1. 60% of the purse
    2. Fight at 140lbs
    3. A 15ft ring
    4. 6oz gloves

154 probably wouldn't be an advantage for either guy, neither has problems making 147.

They might as well ask for it to be a Light Heavyweight bout.

God knows the sanctioning bodies would be falling over themselves to put up a LHW title, then BOOM, another record for the winner

First off, I wouldnt trust the word of Freddie Roach at all.

Secondly, if true whats the problem? I dont see the problem with at least trying to get the fight in your favour, infact surely thats common sense?

maybe floyd coming in over the weight for jmm fight was a setup. try to show that he struggles to make weight and could therefore offer Pac at 154.

There are no contracts signed yet. Pac just agreed to March 13, 2010 as their fight date. The other details are still being negotiated such as those listed by the TS.

Neither are my favourite fighter. It's just common sense surely?

If you were a professional boxer would you not try and get the best circumstances for yourself? If you wouldnt then you are an idiot.

Pac got the best deal by making Cotto come to 145, Oscar to 147, Floyd with Hatton coming to 147. It's what you do and I cant blame anyone for it. I bet Pac has tried to get it at lower than 147 aswell.

Pac making Oscar come down to 147 was a compromise, Oscar made Pac come up from 135 to 147 .

Cotto made Pac come up from 140 to 145. So that was a compromise too.

Now Floyd has already gotten Pac to come up to 147. So Floyd already has the advantage.
