i agree...140 seems like a real risk for ssm. but damn w/ there being no talk of big fights between the ww's and all the talk is over who pac will fight, pac's hand at the negotiating table is very strong. these guys (ssm in particular) seem desperate and seem like they are falling all over themselves to get a fight w/ pac. **** if cotto and ssm put a rumor that they were gonna have another go, maybe it would make pac think twice about making these demands. but until something happens why would pac budge? no one is putting a gun to these guy's heads and making them comply w/ pac's demands.
Negotiations, bro. They negotiate until someone blinks. Pac is the top man right now. Like dela Hoya, he has the leverage to dictate what he wants. If the report is true that Pac has already accepted 145 which was proposed by the Cotto's camp, btw, who are we to question their decision.
None title fights are a whole hell of a lot worse for the sport than catch weights. You cant see the forest for the trees. If the fight occurs within the division the title needs to be on the line.
or do whatever it takes to get a payday... pacman may be p4p king but he ain't the best welter out there, the guy is a jr welter. :good
Whine, whine, whine. Cotto's own nutritionist said that 145 would be a safe weight for Cotto with no physical repercussions. So, really, what the hell is the problem?
THIS IS A LAST MINUTE UPDATE. Reports from Team Pacquiao say that Canadian advisor Mike Koncz is on his way to the US to relay a message to Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum that Manny Pacquiao has agreed to face Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico on Nov. 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight will be at 145 lbs.:happy THIS WILL BE THE MEGAFIGHT OF THE YEAR
