you're making yourself an idiot in this board. haven't you heard of WW weight range? if they agree to fight at 145 w/ title at stake, there won't be any problem.

exactly. Its an agreement between the two fighters. The sanctioning body has no say in this as long as the maximum weight limit is respected

The rule does not say it has to be in 147. As long as it is within 141 to 147, title fight is legit.

And I believe the WBO has already stated that the belt will be on the line.

its because of the system, catchweight would not be in consideration if weight is taken at the night of the bout. 147 is the limit, not an ounce above.,it should be as it is, a limit. and besides,145 is team cotto's term that is being considered, team pacquiao is giving in to their preperence. nothing we could do about it unless you want cotto have all the advantage.its a fair game considering the lapses of the system.

I know the rules and it's being allowed that's why there are limits :D . . . what I have posted is just my stand on the issue.

If the fights get signed by both parties for a title under a catchweight arrangement . . . so be it. Then I don't want to hear bullcraps and excuses from both sides and the fans. :yep

I think Cotto will finally take the fight. Should be a big money fight, great draw.

There's a weight range of 141-147...you can go to a max of 147 if both parties have no problem with it. Negotiating for a specific weight ex: 145lbs max, as long as both parties agree is still under the weight range of Welterweight, thus No More Whining.
