Rarely is there a title fight at anything 147 or below with 10oz gloves ... So much for standard .....

Were talking about in Vegas, where it was recently changed (Cotto-Margarito fight) where 10oz is still the standard for 147 fights.

Well heres the thing. Pac was fighting at 140, Cotto was fighting at 147...logic dictates that a fight at 145 says Cotto is actually asking for the advantage. If Pac wanted all the advantages, he would make Cotto come down to his weight class, 140.

Floyd has absolutely no reason to dictate what gloves Mosley should wear, thats some ***** ****.

so which is worst, pac trying to fight cotto 45 which is just 1 pound under 146 which was his last weigh-in or floyd fighting jmm at 144 which is 9 pounds heavier from jmm's last fight and floyd still have to pull a ***** move on the scales?

and since then pretty much every major fight at 147 has still used 8oz gloves.. As long as both parties agree on 8oz , they use them.. And anyone who has boxed before or been part of a gym , knows that diliberately requesting 10oz over 8oz is a ***** move

I dont see how that was asking for "all the advantages" in the first place. Pac was moving up 7lbs from his last weigh-in(138lbs) and Cotto was moving down 1lb from his last weigh in. If anything, Pac was submitting to Cotto's demands.

No, Cotto can't make 140 anymore and for quite some time now. Not without looking completely drained, anyway. If Pac demanded that Cotto comes down @ 140, the fight would probably not happen.

couldn't "make" cotto do ****...he said himself when he moved up that his body wont get down that far..so if pac woulda demanded that weight the fight woulda been off...pac shoulda fought at 147...

that doesn't change the fact that 10oz gloves in the standard and in vegas at WW you have to request 8oz, you don't request 10oz.

Roach wanted it @ 142 before Cotto told him to go **** himself.
