This is a CLEAR picture of a CHUNK of gauze that was INSERTED into his hand wraps.

Besides, the picture does not show the DENSITY of the object. It could be hard as a rock for all we know.

What can be deriven from this picture is that it was a CHUNK of gauze. Gauze does not CHUNK up like that unless it is wet or treated.
