Well if boxing was actually a proper orgainised sport with people more concerned about the health of the fighters than giving out ringside seats, collecting ludicrous sanctioning fee's for doing pretty much nothing and putting the same BS officials in place for every fight as part of an good ol boys club - Then how hard would it be to say -

Spend 300 bucks of all the cash poured into the promotion and force a standard for wraps, gauze and tape for all fighters?

Like - The start of the wrap process - The sanctioning body presents the fighters camp with a sealed bag of the wraps and tape that every fighter must use.

It's obvious that the commissions are failing in their duty of care as well.

The only difference between you and these "Margarito fans" you talk of is that whereas they have done their research, and made an objective opinion based on all the evidence brought forward (absolutely zero!), you just listened to what Dan Raphael, Lennox Lewis, and Jim Lampley had to say regarding the matter. Coincidentally, none of them were even there.

I believe Antonio Margarito did not know about the deficiency with his hand-wrapping. Shane Mosley, who was there, has gone on record saying that he wouldn't be surprised if Margarito had no idea. Likewise, Richardson had to feel around with the knuckle pad before noticing anything, whereas the commission themselves didn't even notice a thing. Make note of how it's the CSAC job to make sure stuff like this doesn't happen.

I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what causes there to be so much doubt. I would just be reiterating points Divac has already made, so I'll stop now. Just know that this issue is far from closed, and Margarito being guilty is no forgone conclusion as far as I'm concerned.

He's threatening to leave Bob Arum and Top Rank because they are backing Margarito and against the CSAC's suspension.

Cotto has been quoted as saying that "I would like to think Margarito beat me fair and square."
....but then he comes straight out and criticize's Bob Arum who would have done the same for Cotto if he were in Margarito's shoes.

Cotto is holding on to a crutch, wanting to believe that Margarito loaded his gloves against him......and I cant really blame him......most fighters beaten the way Cotto was would likely do the same.

I could understand Cotto's stance, but not anyone who would be looking at the facts objectively and knowing that the NSAC supplies the fighters the gauze and tape needed, and wont let them use their own.:deal

Cotto's main issue is that Arum is trying to find him a fight elsewhere in Mexico, not that he's defending him. That Arum is going against what the commission has already ruled on Margarito.

And again...nice try to take a stab at me. This whole thread is about this lame ass picture which still hasn't been sourced yet, and what it looks like.

The simple fact that you mention Cotto and his loss to Margarito shows you have nothing else to contribute other than to take a stab at any seemingly detractor of the issue and its pathetic.

Look- I don't care who knew what, the bottom line is the wraps were against regulations, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to make him re-wrap. And either way, I don't think the wraps changed the outcome of the fight, so who cares really. :roll:

Thats fine, but lets get it straight.....Margarito having to re-wrap the first hand 3 times had nothing at all to do with an illegal knucklepad being placed on his knuckles.

Thanks man. I've been relocating again, just got back to Australia after a year in Brazil and a year in Canada.
