Well the gloves they wore for the fight were Black not Red but it could be from the gym like you said maybe but that is a stretch.

No they dont forget they just ignore and for good reason if they pay attention to those who actually do get their hands wrapped up who actually have experienced gauze getting stiff when they dry out, then their arguements are weak, and considering its Margarito at the hands of this discussion they dont want a weak arguement so they are going to use every bit of nonsense to keep their **** going.

Well I suppose this is progress of a sort. At least the witchhunt has moved on from cement, concrete and plaster to some new form of rock hard gauze.

Its funny to see people being determined to cling on to the same conclusions that they came to before they'd seen any evidence whatsoever despite this new picture.

 

I don't spend any time in the ring or in a gym which is why I've kinda knuckled back from the discussion at hand. However, I know what transpired on the night of the fight, I know the commission made a series of errors, as did HBO, and now I'm staring at gauze which is making no impression on me whatsoever. You can draw your conclusions, but the ultimate question I find is that is there a possibility that Margarito did not know about the deficiency with his hand wrapping? I believe so.

Members on ESB have rightly pointed out that "I don't know" is not really a reasonable excuse. However, by the same token, allowing 15-20 other people handle the "illegal substance" before being taken as evidence is equally as unacceptable. I don't see how they banned Margarito for a year without any substantial evidence, and how there is possibility that the gauze was tainted whilst in the possession of any one of the 15 people. It's not even whether or not you believe it was tainted, it's the priniciple.

I think that's why they had their mind made up from the beginning, like much of ESB.

 

Im sure if Margo is innocent, they will decide so.

We should always wait to see the proof before slating a mans reputation though.

 

Which is what I have been trying to explain to the lesser educated people on the forum, if this is a old pad from the gym which the trainer said that it was, you can easily explain why its firm and stiff, when you wrap your hands for a work out they sweat and get the gauze soaked.

When you finish your work out and take off the gauze and the pad, once that drys out, it gets firm and stiff:deal there doesnt need to be any substance added for the gauze to get stiff sweat alone can do the trick.

a kitchen sponge can easily get stiff when you allow it to dry out and sometimes they are so firm that when you try to bend it, it will break and I know you know exactly what I am talking about.
