HOW? I still dont see how anyone cant respect the man. He fought better comp then most fighters out there. He might have lost in your eyes, but regardless...they were all close and debatable (anyone who has his wins over Wright, Hopkins or Spinks as blowouts for either fighter are crazy...)...and in that situation, how does that make you hate the fighter? Is it him judging the fight? He is the same guy who took on...in order....Joppy, Hopkins, Hopkins, Wright, Ouma, Spinks, Pavlik, Pavlik...how does he NOT have your respect yet? I dont get it? There isnt one bad...or even DECENT fighter in that group. Taylor (regardless if he holds a belt or not) is a champion in every sense of the word. And we are hearing this from someone who had him 2-1-2 in his close fights (win vs Pavlik tonight...win vs Spinks...loss to Hopkins the first time...draw vs Wright and Hopkins the second time).
Wait a minute! Isn't rreed23 that moron who compared Hatton's style to SRR? atsch................................
I can finally agree with something you say, I saw the fight that way also. 8 -4 Pavlik 7-5 reasonable no way was it robbery.
**** off you boring ******. no one wants to hear your simplistic opinion on the fight, you dont matter
It was a very close fight. Pavlik won because he stayed busy throughout the fight. JT landed more power shots, but didn't follow up. Better on defense, but not active enough. He didn't use his jab in the second half of the fight enough. I had the fight even until the last two rounds. Pavlik was just more busy and landed some good shots to JT body. Good fight though. JT stamina was better but caught up to him in the last three rounds.
I havent seen the fight but I'm not surprised the disparity in scores from some people as I remember the first fight which I scored 3-3 in rounds but people had 4-2 Pav or 5-1 Taylor
it was a close fight i thought taylor should have got the nod but he ****ed up bad the last 2 rounds. that was one of the best matches this past decade(10 years)
Yes you jag, and it was spot on, the statement was that he was more Ray Robinson than Mayweather is in that he is willing to trade and brawl
I dont say this enough...aside from being a very underrated poster....your avatars are consistantly phenominal. Kudos bro....Kudos!!! I mean, right about now, I wanna go rake some hay...and Im from the hood...I aint seen hay in YEARS!!! This content is protected :happy
he won the fight but not the rounds, thats boxing. pavlik won more rounds same thing happened to de la hoya with mayweather. they know how the sport works. TAYLOR LOST.
I'm sorry mate, I just don't consider Ouma, Spinks, Pavlik & the 40+ version of Hopkins to be anything near the 'creme of the crop' in terms of competition. Yet he barely gets by Spinks at MW, christ. And needs suspicious judging to beat a seriously past prime Hopkins that's about to get annihilated by Calzaghe and to get a draw over Wright. Terrible resume, all in all. 2 losses to a 'decent' fighter like Pavlik proves plenty. Imagine what a real elite fighter would do to him, wait, there aren't any of those around at MW in current form. He'll get eaten alive by B level SMW's if he actually sticks around.:yep
