Youll be considering Hopkins more than creme of the crop after April...mark my words bro...mark my words. And please name 5 fighters who have fought THAT MANY good - great fighters in a row? Its honestly cant be done. As I said, let your anger of the corruption of the sport go for a second and gain some respect for a rarity in this buisiness...a guy who WONT take an easy fight. Taylor should be lauded....(and this is coming from a guy who from you own assessment is "the biggest Hopkins fan on the forum"...or something like that...and Hopkins had not ONE but TWO close fights vs him). Sorry, but as I said, Taylor deserves respect. Alot more than 90% of the so called "champions" this sport has.... Again...name 5.
Are you joking or what? Show me the thread. Unless someone's been posting under my name I'd say you're talking complete crap!
I can't believe there are people acting like this was some kind of robbery! JT was given an edge in his fights against BHop and Spinks (JT's worst ever performance)--all 3 fights could've gone either way (I had them all as draws); and enough to hold on to his title (I agreed) against Winky based on being busier--the same reason people scored last night for KP. I like KP and JT, I think they're both good for boxing and likable guys. KP just did a little more, no shame in JT's performance.
Its time some of you face the facts that JT fades in the second half of fights,he wasnt in it after the 7 th.
Actually, for someone claiming to have been drunk, you did surprisingly well. You hold your liquor far better than I did when I drank, apparently! Anyway, you have good points - Taylor himself is not directly responsible for all the gift decisions he received. However, he DID benefit from them, and attain a higher level in the sport than if the decisions had not been rendered in this way. And once, you could excuse perhaps - bad decisions happen. But THREE TIMES in a ROW??? That's a consistent pattern, one that was demonstrated again with the curious scoring in the first Pavlik fight. The biggest shocker last night was that Pavlik actually DID get the decision against this guy. I can only imagine that HBO finally realized that they weren't gonna be able to cash in on their investment in Taylor and simply cut their losses.
