Glad Hathaway won, at best I though he may win a close decision but he dominated. Always good to see a Brit doing well, looking forward to seeing him again.
He didn't win 2 rounds, I gave him the 2nd thats it. What did he do more then lil Nog in the 1st and 3rd?
The first round Brilz controlled with his takedowns which I felt was enough to take it seeing as neither man did any damage really.
oh damn how could i forget this one. atsch Cyrille Diabete knocking out luiz cane- that was awesome I don't know much about diabete but cane was one of the young rising star in the ufc and got KTFO.
Oh come on, he was fighting lil nog. The dude is very talented but he is in the shadow of his brother big nog that's why no one talks about him. There's no shame in losing to lil nog. Lil nog victims include Guy Mezger-sakuraba-nakamura-overeem-dan henderson-matyushenko before cane. It's not like cane loss to some bum.
The Lil Nog fight isn't that controversial. You could easily give Lil Nog 1 and 3. I think the cards potrayed the fight accurately.
I felt exactly the same way. They do it with everything as if they are trained to overcompensate for everything. **** has to stop! Its goddamn propoganda!
the first round was close but i could understand if the judges gave it to lil nog. Brilz still earned my respect. The dude came to fight and gave lil nog hell.
\ These guys aren't really all prospects but weren't exactly huge stars just a short time ago. Ben Saunders Cain Valesquez (who was he less than a year and a half ago?) Jon Jones (less than two years in the UFC) Dos Santos (less than two years in the UFC) Tim Boetsch I don't know, actually none of these guys are prospects at all. The thing is though, the UFC is the MMA premiere league and it usually doesn't take on fighters like Amir who have almost no MMA experience as build them up. Almost all of the UFC's prospects come from smaller orgs and graduate to the UFC so it isn't really a big deal. I mean, who wants to watch a PPV loaded up with prospects?
An MMA match carries with it a much much greater possibility of a good fighter losing devastatingly than boxing or wrestling. The extreme differences between different fighting styles and the extremely wide variety of skill sets one has to train for is the reason for that. If one fighter is way way way better than you at only one area of combat for example, and you aren't good enough to leave that area, you could be a similarly talented fighter with a similar record against similar opposition and be absolutely decimated. GSP lost to Serra in devastating fashion. Frank Trigg lost to Matt Serra in devastating fashion. Same with Rashad and Lyoto. Mir versus Lesnar 2. Koscheck v Johnson. Koscheck versus Alvez. Faber versus Aldo. There are so so soo many examples of it. It is very common in MMA and you shouldn't look too much into it.
