Hopefully now he can afford to become a full time fighter. I admit I sold him short heading in to this.

Yeah dude. Smith pushed his closed fist into Hopkins' face repeatedly all night from the opening bell and after the particular combination in question, Hopkins fell down from the force of the closed-fist pushes... also known as punches.

The commentary was awful. Like every tiny thing hopkins did was praised.

Ooo smith is in trouble if he follows him round the ring. That's playing into Hopkins hands. Hopkins loves agressive fighters.

He got battered rd the ring and smashed out the ring onto his back. He did amazibg for a guy his age no doubt but it was all I be way traffic

This was bad visuals for Hopkins. Just looks bad. Knocked out the ring like in many movies. He gets up, looks out on his feet, like a geriatric old man, then the old man has to sit down. What's next, some nurses have to come out to wipe his ass cause he soiled himself. Just bad visuals, I can see why he's upset....lol

He's surprising. If he would put his energy into training vs. wasting on construction he may be a real
contender. He's long, rangy and he's got the pop.
I think your going to be surprised when Hop gains his senses and says he hits harder than Kovalev.

That was pride speaking, and a little bit of embarrassment.

My thought exactly. He's not half bad for a kid who can't focus on boxing full time.

Nard could have ended his career with some class and humility, win or lose.

Instead he did what he's done throughout his career, and tried to cheat and cry foul whenever he's been under pressure.

Against Dawson, Pascal and last night Smith, Nard tried to convince people that he didn't get knocked down legitimately.

Great fighter, great chin, but has shown himself to have very little substance and fibre when he couldn't have things all his own way.

Had he had the cojones to get back in the ring, he and everybody else knew he was about to be beaten senseless. Much easier to cry foul, and feign injury. than put it on the line and be stopped by the better, younger man.
