is a beast! forget the knockout, he outslicked jacobs and beat him to the punch! i know hes fine as he is but i would LOVE to see this guy hire Eddie Mustafa Muhammad or Tommy Brooks to help him improve his shoulder roll and teach him a few tricks!
its a case of Pirog being under rated and overlooked by Jacobs team, and Jacobs just not being all that in the first place. Honeslty it looked like Jacobs has never seen a tape of Pirog.
It's the first fight I seen him in. He looked sharp and moved very well, I think his power is average despite the severity of the KO, he just caught him cleanly on the button. Can't wait for his next fight.
I've liked him for a couple of years so I was delighted he got the win last night and made some more fans. He looks like there aren't too many weaknesses in his make-up with a huge upside. I'm really looking forward to seeing him against even better opponents
yeah or even manny steward wouldn't be bad! this guy is the slickest eastern euro fighter ive ever seen, gregzor proksa's slick to but this guys got one punch ko power!
Everything looked impressive, defense, movement, angles, power. Except he has a low punch output. He can be outworked and I think that is his weakness.
I'd like to see Enzo Calzaghe with the kid. Why? Because his offense is so much like Calzaghe that he'll learn a lot from the Enzo brand of teaching while also allowing him to keep that shoulder roll technique. If he goes to the American trainers, they'll try coach him out of his offensive patterns and at the moment, thats the thing that will make him great
Pirog a tough Euro fighter. What's wrong with Euro trainers? Are they not at par with American trainers?
They're not known, is the basic thing. Most European fighters that are dominant these days tend to get to the show with their European trainers and then try to add some additional skills with American trainers. I just think in this kids case, anyone they choose will take away his main weapon - his awkward offense. He needs someone who has trained fighters with equally awkward offense while giving them the basics they need to survive.
