I can only assume this will be one of the lowest purchaced PPV bouts of all time, however as a betting man, I think laying some down on Hopkins will be a :good. Don't most books have him as a slight underdog? I think the Executioner pulls this one out. HBO has made him a darling and surely they want to capitalize on his somewhat popular reinvention, unlike when they had him replaced by Jermaine Taylor. Thoughts?
Neither of these guys is or ever will be a major draw. Obviously because of their exciting ring styles which have you on your feet for the full 36 mins enjoying a savage back and forth war. This crap isn't PVP-worthy. Dawson isn't PVP worthy and rightfully so cuz he's BORING. Bhop is somewhat of a draw cuz of his name and legacy and age but to make a decent PVP he needs to be paired with a DLH or Tito. He can't make a solid PVP with a blaaaaah fighter like Dawson. People don't pay to watch boring tactical pot shotting matches. They pay to see blood. How many PVP buys will this borefest make?
I'm looking forward to this, although I am not expecting much in terms of action. In fact, among the big fights this fall, I think it's one of the toughest to predict.
Na I have a feeling since Dawson is the fresher and the one with the superior jab Bhops knows hes going to have to roughhouse and force Dawson to fight on the inside. I think Pascal showed the blueprint to beat Dawson at least the first half of the fight. Hopkins is very cunning, but I do expect a close fight similar to Hopkins-Taylor fights only Dawson will be raining jabs and hooks from the distance.
