I saw Smoger on an Uruguay card last night, I wonder how much he was paid.

 

Yep, refs make more than boxers. Some refs have over a thousand matches on their CV. Most have hundreds. Meanwhile, boxers will only fight once or twice a year. Commentators and announcers make more money too because they show up to do their job dozens of times every year. Buffer is ****ing rich.

 

Have you ever looked up how many gigs these guys do a year? They all have hundreds of fights on boxrec. Judges too, hundreds of fights. It's a full time job.

 

It's not absurd. They get free flights, housing and food as well. They travel the world for free. Even if they do around 30-40k a year, they don't work everyday their asses of in a warehouse or the steel/coal industry.

 

Kenny Bayless has reffed 734 fights. The year he did May/Pac he did 23 other fights as well. That money adds up.

The fighters dedicated their lives to the sport for the short 36 minutes, underwent training camp after training camp sacrifice after sacrifice. Belive you and me they are not moving around a ring doing nothing.
