I knew Gutierrez would have his moment in this!

Angulo is a tough cookie though. It was good to see how he responded to being hurt. He looks like a real player at 154.

Maybe Weeks should have given a standing 8. Dunno. It was a great fight though.

He should have given him a standing 8 count IMO.

When gutierrez has him hurt Angulo was trying to hold while Gutierrez was still working... Weeks should have let them work it out before he came in.... I knew there was a reason why I never look forward to seeing Tony Weeks... We needed Steve Smoger for this fight..

Was the referee even allowed to give a standing 8 count?

I missed Lederman reading the rules, but if it's ABC rules then there is no standing eight count.

I didn't catch the rules either. Was out of the room when he did it.

Maybe the standing 8 wasn't in effect. :think

i dont see anything special with rthis angulo guy he is very similar to margarito in the way he throws his punches his are a little shorter though and his defensive liabilities, he has a very high output and his punches doesnt have that much conviction since he throws his punches w/o creating leverage on his legs his power is overrated , he was also pretty easy to counterpunchbut gutierrez punches were too wide,
