Jose Lopez vs Marvin Sonsona!! This has special written all over it!!!! :nut

Lopez - Puerto Rican - 5'5" - unbeaten since 2001 (that's 16 fights) and seems to fight (counter) like Marquez from what I've seen - vicious use of angles coupled with great reflexes and combinations

Samsona - Philippine - 5'7" - Southpaw - Two belts held already @ just 19 years old - Called the next Manny Pacquiao

    Lopez/Samsona Promo

    Samsona training

Will youth prevail over age? Will Wisdom defeat youth? Will body shots prevail or southpaw hooks? Is Samsona getting thrown to the wolves or is he the next big thing?

Potentially this fight could answer alot of questions!

I'm guessing the original date was postponed. According to Boxrec it's tonight US time

Looks like a good fight. I think Lopez gets hit a bit much although he seems like he answers in devastating fashion. If you stay there and let him answer. However, Lopez is seasoned so if Sonsona is rocked he may not have the mental toughness that the veteran does. Seems like Sonsona picks his spots so he won't accumulate damage. The longer it goes, the more likely for a Sonsona win, IMHO.

(I am biased toward slick in-and-out fighters though. I am also a Nonito and PBF fan, hahaha.)

    Is this televised?

It should be a good fight. I'm leaning towards the younger and hungrier Sonsona. I know that he doesn't have that many fights under his belt but anything can happen.

From what I heard Samsona handled it all very well with a patience and maturity far beyond his 19 years. I have a feeling this guy will go very very far.
