Hopkins has fought nothing but elite fighters for the better part of the last 4-5 years. He deserves an easier fight.

    2004: Oscar De la Hoya
    2005: Jermain Taylor x2
    2006: Antonio Tarver
    2007: Ronald Wright
    2008: Joe Calzaghe
    2009: Kelly Pavlik

Will you just shut the hell up. I cant stand clowns like you going off on some bull****. Hopkins is 45 years old, and is taking a tune up fight....What more do you really want him to prove?

And Im sick and tired of this bull**** about "American Boxing fans". Americans get trashed all the time on here, yet the euro's want to make it like America is the only place with delusional fans who talk ****.

Take kelly pavlik for Example...to the Euro's this guy is a one Dimensional slugger with no skill or defense and has a glass chin for getting dropped by taylor. Yet Carl Froch on the other hand has a Granite chin, amazing skills, and will beat anybody you put in front of him.

Every country has it's delusional rabid fans. Don't single out america.

  3. its a ****ing tune up to stay active and get off the rest

    no ones telling you otherwise

    you *****

Compare Hopkins last 5 opponents to RJJ's last five and shut up.

Other then Calzaghe. Jones has been fighting nothing but tune ups since the third Tarver fight.

Yeah I know he fought Trinidad... my point exactly. :yep

Yeah, ok you got a point! 3 wins 2 losses.

    Hopkins last 5:-

Pavlik (good win but Pavlik is one dimensional)
    Calzaghe (loss)
    Winky (too small man) Wright.
    Tarver
    Taylor (loss)

    RJJ last 5:-

    Lacey
    Shika
    Calzaghe (loss)
    Trinidad (another small man)
    Hanshaw (who?)

So yeah you got a point...but I still say RJJ will own Hopkins again in the rematch.

Who cares? Is it unusual for a former champ in his forties to take a fight with someone who is a journeyman?

B-Hop is in his mid 40's. He had a career full of taking on the top guys. He's at a stage now where he can pretty much pick and chose event fights rather than "trying to prove himself" fights.
