Which of my "favorite" fighters has he beat?

The Cotto win was a far better win than any of PBF's 147 career.

No one here is saying Floyd is ****, we are saying his 147 career is not what it is made out to be.

 

Floyd Mayweather Jr did not beat any of my favorite fighters, actually.

This has nothing to do with Floyd Mayweather Jr. He was a pretty good fighter, who refused to take on the main players at 147lb, and then retired on top whilst claiming he was the greatest fighter that ever lived. Stuff like that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It was an insult to a great fighter like Sugar Ray Robinson, and not to mention Muhammad Ali. Two fighters who beat significantly better opposition, and never took a weight class hostage.

That said, I am not jealous of Floyd Mayweather Jr. I am more jealous of fighters like Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales, who were able to be two of the best of their generation, and whilst still entertaining all of the fans in competitive fights. They also come back from defeats to defy the critics, and never had people in the arena leaving before a fight finished. They are the fighters I admire.

If Margarito vindicated of any wrong doing, I look forward to what you have too say.

 

It's you who can't understand that Boxing needs both skilled and exciting fighters. I don't know why you hate on unskilled exciting fighters. They keep people into boxing and make the general public more aware of it. FMJ would not have sold out the Staples center and brought in all those new boxing fans.

If all we had was extremely skilled, slick, defensive fighters like PBF the sport would be reduced to not much more than Fencing. No one would watch! We need a variety of fighters.

I see your reasoning. Baldomir is a better win than Margarito because he had some bull**** belts. Belts do not mean a god damn thing in this day and age.

 

Exciting is subjective. I didn't find the Gatti-Ward trilogy particulary exciting however some did but can appreciate it and respect it. I prefer skilled boxing like EM-MAB trilogy. See the difference?

 

Who says Margo is any better than Baldo? Atleast Baldo didn't have to cheat to get by. Margo is a proven cheat his career has to be called into question. Not to mention Baldo is more skilled than Margo is. He throws straighter punches actually tries to employ defense and a jab not to mention has a better chin.
