We're supposed to buy that Capetillo, in wrapping a fighter's hands for a World Title match, accidentally was using "old wraps" from some "young fighter in his gym"? No, not buying it.

Most certainly not. By not means should ol' Rockgloves be forgiven if his gloves were loaded. Others ****ing up has nothing to do with his accountability.

Rockgloves :patsch If Margarito is not let off based on him not knowing about the hand-wrapping deficiency (there was no rock in there, by the way), then he should be let off based on how more than 15 people tampered with the evidence during the interim. Either way, the evidence is not conclusive, none was brought to the table during the hearing, and this issue is all but closed.

From what I hear, Margarito brought with him to that hearing a top notch lawyer who has defended other celebrities (probably chosen by Arum to represent them)
.....if Capetillo's story about inserting those illegal knuckle pads by mistake is true, in fairness to Margarito's lawyer, they went into that hearing not knowing what the evidence was against them.

Capetillo said that he did'nt realize what he had done until the actual knuckle pads were shown to him at the hearing......and it thats true, their lawyer had no way of preparing a solid defense to convince the CSAC to hold off on a suspension.
Everything Margarito's lawyer did was in a spur of the moment type of defense, without having the luxury of preparing beforehand.

The CSAC has erred in every step of the way....from letting multiple individuals in Mosely's camp handle the evidence outside their presence, up to the hearing where they expected Margarito and Capetillo to come prepared to defend themselves when they may have not know what to defend themselves against.

The CSAC has dropped the ball at every corner......they should have let team Margarito know in writing exactly what they had to defend themselves against so that his lawyer could mount a defense.....but they already had made up their mind that team Margarito was guilty of knowingly trying to cheat, as they assumed that Capetillo knew exactly what he did wrong and had planted those knuckle pads intentionally.

Irregardless if Capetillo planted those knuckle pad intentionaly or not, simply stated, the CSAC did'nt take the steps so that due process could be served.
The CSAC is unproffesional and a complete joke of a commision.

Having read the start of this thread i agree. This all seems a little unfair and the whole thing is getting blown out of proportion.Ive read other threads on esb and you would think Margarito had put a horse shoe in his gloves. There was clearly confusion before the fighters even got in the ring and it should have been sorted in the dressing rooms not in court.

I'm going to assume that you have'nt read the first post of this thread, where an eye witness at that hearing tells what went on throughout the process.......

Rudyard, you're still of the early unsubstantiated assumption that Richardson was'nt present when they wrapped Margarito's first hand.....that rumor has since been shot down to have been not true.....Richardson was there from the very begginging....from step one of the hand wrapping process....

I think it would be very helpful that everyone read carefully the eyewitness account at that hearing which is the first post created by Freddy in this very thread.

Its a long read, but for anyone to want to be educated on this matter of Margarito and the handwraps, its a must read!

    1. Yep, we're supposed to believe that for a World Championship fight it was an accident that they were using old gauze.

    2. Ya, we're expected to buy that he "accidentally" was loading both gloves. Heh, I'm sure.
